February SDMAS Meeting

We are excited to announce the the February meeting! The topic will be controllers. How to set them up, how to use them, and how they can benefit you! Dave (DaveMorris) and Jeff (specvjeff) will be discussing the two most common controllers, The Reef Keeper and The Apex. We will also be BBQing and just having a good time! For those of you that felt slighted or ignored at the January meeting, this one's for you. Yes we will be discussing controllers, but the primary focus for this meeting is getting to know everybody. It will be low pressure, informal, and easy going. We will make sure everybody has a name tag on and since it is all about meeting and greeting come on out.

Want to know a little more about programming your system? How to set up an alarm if your ph is too high? How to have your system kick on a cooling fan if the temp gets too high? Bring your controller questions with you and join in the discussion.We are still nailing it down, but rest assured we will be raffling off something pertinent to the evening's discussion!

how long do these usually last? i usually have bootcamp at 24 hour til 730pm. been wanting to check out some meetings. i see that it starts at 7pm on wednesday, 2/12/14. thanks.

The meetings typically run a couple hours.

Might have to check this one out. Doing a project for school on controllers

While neither Jeff or myself have any experience with the Reef Angel controller, we would welcome any of you RA guys to enlighten the crowd with your take on the Reef Angel. Same with the GHL Profilux. This will not be a debate over which one is better than the other, but more of an overview of several of them so that people can make an informed decision about what to get and why. I will also explain why absolutely nobody with a fish tank should be without a controller.

Come on out and socialize. We'll be doing a lot of that as well!
