So from time to time I do Something SUPER DUMB, while messing with my tank... So I thought, just Maybe this would be something cool that WE could share other members "Buster Brown" Moves (Buster brown is if you do something Very Very DUMB) SOOOOO my "Buster Brown" Move today waaaas... Simply, I took my colony of CB GOW Zoas of 20++ out of my tank to Rid it of 2 of those hard worm guys that let that stringy stuff out and it traps food but also bothers my zoas... Yeaaa you know, someone will correct me plz? So anyways, the Glue I was holding onto busted while I was scraping them off and my GOW colony Literally rolled across my living room floor (Dog hair and all was stuck to the colony LOL! I know they'll be fine BUT I couldn't help but feel incredibly dumb! Come on... Someone has to have done some funny, "BUSTER BROWN" moves by now???

One time when I still had all of the plumbing (chiller, sump, pumps etc) still under the aquarium I accidentally bumped the hose leading to the chiller and it sprung a leak. It was spraying water on the power strip (which was sitting on top of chiller because I was trying to clean behind it), my wife grabs the hose and she is trying to put it back on with water spraying all over the place and she's yelling "it's shocking me it's shocking me!" so I yell back at her "Then let go of hose!" so she lets go of the hose, and what do I do..?? Stupid me grabs the hose in her place and before I can yell "It's shocking me!" she unplugs the thing. And no the power strip never did trip like it should have.

Don't set your coffee cup on top of your reef tank. I did jus that... and when I turned around I elbowed the whole 30oz cup into the tank. Talk about freaking out....

getting my tank drilled, i had an idea of where i needed them, but my ignorance screwed me. my return hole is square in the middle of my tank with my 2 overflows up top. had to run a pvc pipe from the middle of the tank up to about where my overflows are. used to have a a black return nozzles about a few inches from the drilled hole. this was a epic fail, it led to my tank flooding from the water rushing back down the return if the power went out. i look at my epic fail every day lol, my upgrade cant come fast enough

Im too afraid to have a moment like these except the coffee I can see my self doing that. Im sure when I get my confidence up I will start messing and experimenting with things, just to scared to do this cause if I mess it up I will not know what to do. I think the worst was the time I had the top off water sitting on top of the TV next to the tank with the drip line running above and into the HOB filter (above water line).
When I started the top off siphon with my syringe it jerked the hose out of the top off container and I did not see it... Then because the end of the hose was barely touching the water surface in the HOB filter it siphoned from that point.
I came back a few hours later and 1/3 of my tank water was gone (15 gal) and had already run out the door.
There was no flood because of a cracked slab but I was stumped for 2 1/2 hours figuring out how the water got out!?!
I couldn't imagine that little air line doing all that from above the water line?
Lost a few frags that time... live and learn.
