      Heater Question

ok it's colder out now and I'm worried about my tank staying warm.

Can anyone recommend a good heater for a 150 gallon tank?

Ditto Titanium heater with a controller.

Custom Aquatic has some nice Jalli Titanium heaters for around $40. I would get a 300 watt.

I have an ebo jager but they are really big compared to other heaters. If I were to buy a new heater today, I'd go for a Cobalt Neotherm.

I have had great luck using the Finnex line of titanium heaters. They are bullet proof.

So far my favorite heater is the JBJ true temp, very well designed, but they are not cheap.
I just got an eheim jager as a backup/spare and those are good, but like Jeff said a little big.
There's a fine line between owning your tank, and having your tank own you!_________________________________________

Thanks for the feedback, I'm researching all of these on-line and it seems like everyone has mixed reviews. For every good review there is a bad one on all of these - damn I hate this hobby!

Jeff - which one of the Cobalt Neotherms is rated for a 150 gallon? The ones I'm looking at on-line are all for smaller tanks.

Im running a Finnex controller, and a Jalli 300 w heater on my tank, its always on point and I check frequently. I do have to say, I have had the Jalli heaters fail and put an electrical charge in the tank in the past. The heaters were old, and had some small damage to the body that was very hard for the eye to see.
120 gallon. I throw money at it, and it grows colorful sticks.

They really don't have suitable models for larger tanks. You could run 3x 200w. Kinda pricy for that solution though at $80 each.

      I'd go with a pair of Finnex 300w or a single 800w.

They sell a 500w heater as well. I love Finnex titanium heaters. They are bullet proof.
