So how did you fix your turkey this year?

Every year for Thanksgiving I put a turkey on the Weber and it comes out great. I'm curious to know how other folks prepare their turkeys for the holidays. Here is my approach:

First, I soak it overnight in a brine solution using a recipe from Alton Brown. Home Depot buckets work great for this process.

Then, on the next day the bird comes out of the brine and is stuffed with all kinds of aromatic fruits, veggies, and spices. I then prepare the BBQ.

Once the coals are ready, the bird goes on the grill.

I then put a couple of handfuls of Apple wood chips that have been soaking in Jack Daniels on top of the coals and throw on the cover. So far the neighbors don't seem to mind the smoke.

And three hours later, we have the final product...

And yes, it only takes three hours to fully cook a 22lb turkey this way. Faster than a regular oven and it tastes better.

So how do you cook yours???

Injected ours with my own injection, then smoked on one of my offset smokers.

I always do a brine as well, and often Alton Browns recipe, though last year I tried a Jack Daniels and maple brine that came out awesome(no JD taste, just a maply smokey sweet taste)
I do the oven, but in a cooking bag.
I'll never do a turkey w/out brine and cooking bag again, always comes out perfect.

We usually do an injected deep-fried turkey, but this year decided to go a different path, since we didn't have a crowd of family at the house this year:

      Dijon/horseradish encrusted ribeye roast. . Dee-lish!
