Pics would be helpful, is it on the sand also? How long has the tank been running?

Its more then likely a diatom bloom. If its a new tank its part
Its of the headaches of a new tank. Its normally caused by elevated levels of PO4 and other dissolved organics in the tank. Brightwell's microbactor, less feeding, and water changes will help. Hope this helps happy reefing

If its not creating little air bubbles it's just diatoms. Happens whenever a tank is recently set up. Be patient, it will go away on its own.

Cut back the feeding to 1 time a day or even every other day.
