      Jami's 90 gallons of liquid Pride!! :)

Ok, now that the dust has settled ( literally!) I am ready to post the build thread..
Well here is the old 60 gallon I transferred out if for starters..

      Now onto the new baby..
90 gallon (. 48 x 18x 24) recessed eurobraced 3 sided starphire with center o/f dual returns , a gigantic 40+ gl 5 chamber sump . Has water change spigots on both return and drain. Dark cherry finish cabinet and hood..y
Got a killer deal on it, original owner had it built ( for freshwater) and set it up, leak tested, then never used it!
Had to redo the plumbing a bunch, and since I am NOT very gifted in that area.. I was thankful beyond words for my friend and local reefer Steve Parkinson, for basically redoing it all for me, while I watched and TRIED to learn thank you Steve!!! You're a life ( and carpet) saver!

Had to cut out a baffle later to fit in the Super reef octopus 2000 BEAST I got from Vince ( thanks again Vince!) and cut eggcrate for the tank bottom

One the new tank was moved in( took FOUR big dudes! Thank god I found enough help) the install begins.. First I needed to replace and cap the metal spigots with plastic... Make a platform for the skimmer, and rinse 200 lbs of new special grade reef sand .. lol , my arms gave out after first 3 hours if stirring and rinsing, so I had to start doing 'egg beaters' ( for u H20 polo players ..
While sitting on a chair to finish the sand up!

Now the set up.. Bought some amazing rock from Larry ( bbandu) that would fill the tank , forgot how many pounds, lol.. Filled up with 6 inches of the sand to build a nice DSB .. And filled her up. Added rock over night just to filter out an crud, ran the skimmer and sick till morning ..

By morning the tank had cleared.. So I redid the rock work to its current scape .. Then tossed in a bottle if Dr Tim's .. And started to add livestock
lol.. Just notice a bit ago that the rock is smiling at me!

I would change those brass spigots out for plastic ones as
brass is a alloy of zinc and copper and could cause you problems.
