      Digital Aquatics support sucks..

      For the past few weeks I have emailed and called a number of times, only to get no help at all regarding my RKL problems. Anyone here a wiz with these? I think my head unit may be faulty. When I went to update myreef 2.0 I had problems with the head unit being recognized. At first I used to be able to choose from a drop down menu which component it was. Now, I cant choose which component it is, and I dont have any options when the head unit is plugged in. It looks like the top row is slightly lit up, but with only blocks.

      I already bought the SL1,ph probe, and bus cables. I may just end up chucking this thing if I dont get an answer soon. Can anyone recommend a decent controller?

      I had a similar issue with mine that I acquired. It was not recognized on my reef. After finally getting in contact with DA Support I was able to send it in. I paid postage there. They repaired it, updated it and sent it back at no charge. If the unit is faulty and needs to be replaced they will give you 10 or 15% off the price for a new unit.
      Worth a shot to keep trying to call.

      How long did it take for them to get back to you? My initial emails were 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden they stopped responding. The phone line is always just a machine.

      I was having a similar issue connecting myreef to the rke and rkl I had. After I won the apex at MACNA I just didn't worry about it. I'm not sure what causes the problem. Hopefully Dave will chime in. I know he's out of town working. Try shooting him a pm. His username is DaveMorris. If you just need help setting it up, I might be able to help you out.

      I cant find directions on the factory reset. The screen on the head unit displays nothing but those dimly lit boxes. Can you post a link for instructions?

      So this is a common occurrence with these? Maybe I should just sell it...

      I have to search for answers in the Digital Aquatics forum. It's like data mining there. My next controller will be an Apex.

      Mine did the same exact thing. DA support can't help it if it not responding to My Reef. Try will have you send it in. They did a reset on mine and it works fine now. Refer to my previous post. That's what I did. Same exact situation if your getting the dim boxes.

      Digital Aquatics finally returned my email. I will have to send the head unit in for repair/inspection.

      Digital Aquatics came through. I received my head unit a few days ago, and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks to DA for not charging me for the repairs.
