      Powder Blue Tang

So just bought a new powder blue tang from reefapalooza and put it in my 150 gallon mixed reef tank yesterday, took very well to the tank only got picked on very minimal from my kole tang and now everyone fine together nobodys picking on him. He didnt hide at all when i put him in and that day started grazing on rock. He hasnt taken to any food put in the system such as mysis different pellets and flakes, i also have the marine grazer in there which is the new era food. also just tried spectra pellets and seaweed and there is no interest in of those either. I know the fish is in a new tank and that may be the reason for not eating anything else but the rock but what else should i try?

      thank you

Imo. I would qaurenetine her. I will separate her and make her strong. And teach her to eat in separate tank. The first ich breakout will be next. And hope that she dont pass the ich in her tankmate. Its easier to teach her to eat when is no tangs arround her.
GL on new addition. I wish her to be better.

okay ill try to get her out to quarantine her. do you suggest using copper or one of the ich treatments with her? or just separate her so she learns to eat?

They don't eat for a day or so usually when introduced to a new tank. Give her a day...

try to soak ur seaweed in garlic
120 gallon. I throw money at it, and it grows colorful sticks.

Got the garlic extreme do you think adding it to the tank water would be good as we'll to help reduce the chance of ich on her, or should I just soak food?

Probably just still getting use to your tank. When I got my sailfin he didn't eat at all till about day 2-3 of being in the tank. My tang pays no attention to algae clips. Only likes seaweed flakes and newlife spectrum pellets.
