120 Gallon Reef Setup (Time to downsize)

Like many of us here, I think it is time for me to downsize my reef setup. It makes me sad to see it go but I just don't seem to have the time anymore to keep it looking like I want and I could use the $$ for car repairs...

I am in the process of moving my live stock to either my new, smaller setup or to my LFS and should have the equipment ready by this weekend (fingers crossed).

Here is the system up for sale:
120 Gallon Tank (48"x24"x24") (about 1.5 years old). It originally came with Cherry Trim but I painted it to match the stand ("Espresso"). Drilled for (2) 3/4" returns and (1) 1.5" overflow.

Stand Espresso colored wood stand. I have reinforced the inside of the stand with 2x4's so it is super solid.

Sump 40 Gallon with (3) chambers with bubble traps between.

Plumbing Overflow plumbing is currently split to the two outside chambers using PVC pipe and fittings. It has a DIY Hoffer Gugrle Buster for the overflow. These can be a bit tricky to dial in but once they are, they run super quiet and can push large amounts of flow. Returns are plumbed using 3/4" flex-tube from a single return pump.

Return Pump 1800 GPH mag-drive style pump

Skimmer ASM G3 Skimmer with aftermarket pump. I have up-sized the venturi inlet on the pump because it was under-sized and added a diy PVC muffler because it was loud. I replaced the o-rings because I had bought it used.

Heaters I use two heaters to keep it at the correct temp; they are in the sump. I am not sure the exact brand but I will include them is the package.

Powerheads I currently have (2) Koralia power heads int he tank. I believe one is a 750 and the other is a 1400; they are included with the package.

Carbon/GFO Reactor BRS dual reactor for Carbon/GFO; comes with the maxi-jet pump.

I will be keeping my lights and any other equipment not specifically noted above.

I will have some live rock for sale after the breakdown (but it will need to be cleaned); however if anyone is interested in purchasing it with the package, please feel free to ask.

Asking Price for the entire system as noted above: $1000. NOW $800 OR BEST

Please note that I do not have a truck so any buyers would be responsible for the transportation of the tank. I am more than happy to help lift it into a truck from my driveway but that is about as far as I could go. (The only reason I even make this note is that I have actually had people ask if I would be willing to drive their PIF items down to SD for them because "Oceanside is far". Yes, Oceanside is far from SD, but that is where the tank is so please plan accordingly).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Here is a pic of the tank/sump when I was filling.

Oceanside isn't that far! Good luck with your sale! I used to live in Oceanside and commute to SD to work and to play. Bump for a fellow North county Reefer! :-) going to Reef-a-palooza this weekend?

Thanks Pirate for getting my sense of humor...

Teddy, thanks for representing the us north county guys... Sadly, we are too booked up this weekend to make it up for the show but I have a friend working it so I am sure he will send pics.

Cldme, I was hoping to sell everything as a package but would entertain parting out depending on the offer... Have had one other person ask the same thing. I would really like to include the sump in the bare minimum since it may be more difficult to sell on its own. Send me a pm with details and your offer.

bump for price drop; now asking $800 obo.

Will also throw in a 55 gal barrel (screw type lid) and a large rubbermaid tub of live (now dead) rocks (rocks will need to be boiled/cleaned and probably re-cured as they were removed from the tank with some algae and put dry into the container)... but, they are being offered free so that saves quite a bit.

Tank is completely broken down and sitting in the garage ready for an easy pickup.

Bump... Make an offer; I will probably send the buyer of this system home with some other misc freebies that I have left over.
