Powder blue tang mini school

Got a trio of powder blues for my FOWLR restock, hoping they all play nice together. Last night they all hung out in the same cave, was kinda cool seeing them stick together. Hopefully they bond together to stay safe from the passer angel that's the boss. Also saw the most amazing Achilles tang at VP yesterday, so whoever bought that, you are very very lucky!!! I almost just grabbed it out of the tank and ran lol ... Anyways quick little vid of the powder blues.

What is the length of your tank, how much flow do you have?

That particular tank is 60L" x 24T" x 18W", but I've got 3 other 240g+ tanks for when they get bigger. Flow is pretty high, can't remember off the top but I'd say between 15-20x the water volume. Still gets pretty good hair algae outbreaks and can't put a seahare in there cuz it'd get eaten. So I'm about to do a big rock swap and clean the rocks already in there.

Cool, you run 4 tanks, I thought I was crazy running 3 tanks, 90, 150 & 300 g tanks. I am in the process of consolidating in the 300 g display and making my 150 as fugue/sump! Do you run carbon & GFO in the FOWLR?

I actually run 7 tanks with 5 more waiting to go up. And got the approval from the mrs for another custom center island kitchen tank . I run my FOWLR and shark tank plumbed together and only run a skimmer, no extras. I stick to the KISS method mostly lol

Lol it's my first try, the tank is really healthy and new fish that aren't harassed real bad always seem to do great so I've got my fingers crossed that they can all get along, if not I'll have to seperate or possibly sell 1 or 2. But so far so good. Even ate immediately after going in the tank, taking mysis and cyclopeeze.

I popped up a quick video, I'll try to take a couple pics a little later. This was all inspired by the reefs documentary on discovery a few years back when the little school of powder blues got their territory taken over by hundreds of convict tangs. I decided I thought it'd be cool to have a little school of powder blues. Maybe I'll try a little school of Achilles next lol.

Well had to take one of the powder blues out today after noticing he was getting picked on pretty good by the other two. Thank goodness for extra tanks, already looking better... Keeping fingers crossed the other two formed a bond picking on the third one, or I'll be diving back in to seperate them too. Kinda disappointed, that was becoming my favorite tank with all the active pretty fish, oh well.
