The money that was collected was deleivered today to Birch Aquarium by Jeff and I, we got to meet the Special Projects Manager, Sheri Knox and the Executive Director, Nigella Hillgarth. What a great experience! After talking for awhile Fernado who I beleive was the assistant curator, gave us a little behind the scences tour. Saw the nautiauls (Spelling?) breeding tanks and the eggs, very cool, a walk to the top to see the large kelp tank from above and much more.
Just goes to show what our donations were going to.
Jeff and I also briefly talked about making this an annual thing to raise funds for the aquarium, but that is something we can work out later.
Thanks again to all who participated!

120 gallon. I throw money at it, and it grows colorful sticks.

If u send me a pic and the size u need ill see about getting both valves. I cant afford to turn my 135 gal tank into my first salt water tank but maybe if I help out the salt water community they may help me out. If not ill be getting my water from there also. Edit ok just read more post and seen it was taken care of 7 years ago. I feel dumb. Well u ever need anything like valves let me know.

It's actually being done again but all the parts have been taken care of already. Just waiting for them to be installed.

Yea it's done. Last time I was there, it had a couple kinks near the end. Looks like someone was bending it to stop the flow when changing gallons.

The hose was supposed to be replaced as well, I hope it's not the new hose with a hole in it already.

Ill be down there soon ill fix it
Also I think there needs to be a sacrificial end hose people can use to kink to stop the flow imbetween swapping jugs tanks etc. I noticed a few kinked creased spots in the new hose already and last time I was there I was tempted to smother that hose clamp with silicone to help it from rusting out so fast

I think a Valve on the spout end will stop the need to kink it.

Can't we just put a regular hose sprayer on the end that can lock open, one they're cheap so if it breaks no big deal, or two, a decent metal one should last awhile.

I was under the impression there was going to be a valve put on the end so no kinking was needed.

When I dropped off the parts, I asked them to put a ball valve on the end so it wouldn't have to be kinked to be stopped. If it's not on there, they didn't listen to my request.
