Yes herco braid has a 600psi breakin point. but I think a standard black commercial grade hose would be great like what dave put before. are we going to utilize beach bums offer to get free material for the job, or are we going to buy the hose and ball valve either way I'm ok with both

Well a update on my part I have a 3/4 true union ball valve the barbed fittings and nipples all schedule 80.I also have 15 ft of Goodyear reinforced hose that goes for $5 a foot. If you guys still want to use it let me know.if not no big deal

Thanks to beachbum we now have all the parts we need, Jeff will be dropping off the parts to the UCSD maintenance people and they said they will install all the parts right away for us. So hopefully in the next few days we should see a new hose and some new valves down there.
I would like to thank all of you who contributed with either parts or money to get this done, awesome effort!!
