      Angry Killer Fish

I seem to be having a problem with the green chromis in my tank! When I first got them I had four in my tank, then my purple lobster got two of them. So between the pair one picked on the other one till it died and turned into lobster food. Since then I have re homed the lobster and decided to get a royal grama. Well at first the two got fussy about a rock space which I thought was normal, then the net day the grama was missing some tail fin and as the next few days went by he lost more and more.... and now I have not seen him in two day and I feel he is gone. Advice? should I get rid of Hannibal?( yes that is the fishes nickname) Or should I get more chromis to live in a school?

From my own experience chromis are territorial in captivity and tend to fight each other until death. Sometimes you can get lucky and they will school but that depends on that size of the tank and the amount of live rock for them to hide in.

Right I know that all damsel species can get protective and I have about 45 lbs of live rock in the tank to one would think that their was enough hiding spaces and the cromis has been in the tank for over a year.... I am starting to think he will have to go or just no more fishes.

personnally i have 16 green chromis they all shcool together...in a smaller system i would re-home hannibal and get the nicer fish first so they are comfortable..these are usually more expensive...then throw 4-5 chomis in last....imo
