Week 3 yellow tang in hospital

      Hi all,

I've had my yellow tang in a hospital tank treated with Nitrofuricin for just over 2 weeks now. He still has dark spots but the redness is completely gone. I need advice for next steps.

Are the dark spots normal after treatment?

      Is there another problem?

Should he remain in treatment longer?

Here are before and after photos.

The tang is probably gonna have some permanent markings from the damage caused by the infection. I'd give him another week or two in the meds, but if he's eating well and has no issues {i.e. scratching, redness) he should be safe for the display. Glad the nitro worked... its good stuff.

Great, thanks Marc. I really appreciate the help.

He's eating well and other than being a little freaked out in the little hosp tank he appears normal. I just wanted to be sure before putting him back since catching him is a few hour chore =D

I'll keep him in for at least another week then.
