Looks real nice. iPhones do hate LEDs. Gotta turn the blues down to get a good picture.

Congrats jami, getting a nova a4 delivered from these guys today. Hopefully you can mount high enough to take advantage of the spread of your lenses...did they give you 90s or 120s?
Thanks John I am working on the canopy mount today.. floating it above tank. The optics are 90* so I am still kicking around how high to go. It is 48 in. long and 8 inch wide.. the tank is 48 x 15 , if that helps . Any suggestions on height?
Somewhere in between 6-12 inches. Shouldnt't have any trouble with spread since your fixtures as wide as the tank. Higher the better IMO, easier to acclimate thAt way. Be really careful with intensity, dial it down from the brightness your t5s had, the LEDs are pretty strong...
Thanks .. yup ..Will start w 25% whites..and 35 blues I think.. Did you pick up the Nova for your cube? nice light
Yep, for the cube. Other light is fine, but want a controller, some red and different spread/profile. We'll see how it works.
Ok... Got it up there finally Here is the canopy float "build"... not too pretty, but a woodworker I am NOT! lol

Now all that is left it trimming out the braces and either painting to match the wall.. or staining to match the canopy.. still undecided. Already sick of looking at them though! Love this light .. what a difference from the t5 setup corals are DIGGING it already...crazy P.E. like never before! although my red scoly is looking paler I think. I have them maxed at 30% Blue and 25% whites for 4 hours with an additional 2 hour ramping up and down on each end respectively. Any advice on that Photo period? I would hate to bleach anything :/
Very nice jami, now I see why you didn't want to use suspension wires! Great job!
Thanks John! .. and thanks as well for the late night trouble shooting call! Appreciate the walk thru with the settings had me stumped for a bit!
Np anytime
Floating canopy looks good! I'm debating on doing that too.
Thank u Am pretty happy with it.. using hindsight though, I think I would have preferred using a "floating shelf" method instead of brackets. Like lag bolting a 4x4 horizontally to a stud ( if I would be lucky enough to have a runner across at the right height.) then just slipped the hood onto it and screwed it to the 4x4.. Would be alot cleaner looking that way for sure! .. But, it IS a woman's prerogative to change her mind, right?! lol So I think it may be redesigned in the near future..
Very Nice DIY for a girl jk
