      How to post photos

There are a couple ways to post photos on San Diego Reefs. The easiest way to is upload your photos to a image hosting website like www.photobucket.com. Once you've uploaded your picture to photobucket you just just need to copy and past the img code in your thread.

In your library, hover over the image and a gear or wheel icon will show up in the upper right corner

      Select get links

At the bottom of the pop up you will see the IMG Code link select that. You just have to click on it and it will auto copy for you.

Go to your post and paste the IMG Code in the thread.

You have to be a premium member to do profile picture. It's $25 for a year and u get a sdreefs card that gives you discounts at a few LFS. (It's a great investment)

Go to Settings then on the left it says edit signature and edit profile picture

      Bump this up. Good call
120 gallon. I throw money at it, and it grows colorful sticks.

Bumping this up with some more info. Photobucket is easy to use for posting pics on this forum. To post visible pics in a thread, use the "IMG" option. For posting a picture in chat use the "Direct" option. Direct will send the viewer to a web page with only the one picture available for viewing.

when viewing the full sized image:

or, when viewing the thumbnails of images in your library you can click the little gear and then click the "get links" button.

Tapatalk is a great way to upload photos as well. It is available for both ios and android devices.

In a post, tap the + button to the left of your text. In the next screen, tap the 3 verticals dots in the upper right corner. Then select insert photo. After that, you'll follow the prompts that take you to where your photo is stored on your phone or tablet. Once you selected your photo, click done. You'll be taken back to your post and you will see the img code. The 2nd to last image below shows the series of img codes used to create this post. The final image below is the final product!

When using photobucket I have to uncheck the box Retrieve remote file and reference locally.
