      Info on LED's

I am looking for an LED light for my new 125 gallon tank. I am just getting started in the salt water hobby and was looking for some help on good name brands of LED's that arent to expensive. I wouldnt say i am planning on a big bioload but my wife wants a few fish and corals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck on the name brands for that size of tank with that budget but a 2-3 of the standard Chinese units would do a good job within that price range.

+1 on the Chinese brand LEDs. They'll be your best bet if on a budget and they work well.

I have 3 Chinese units over a 180g tank and my system is doing great. You should be good with the Chinese ones, you get decent shimmer and good light penetration. However, I would go with the 3w x 55 leds over the 1w x 112 leds but that is just my opinion.

I have Chinese on my 325. Coral colors are coming in very nicely and growth is going well now too.

Do you want full spectrum, or is blue/white OK?
How much of the tank and rock work do you want to cover?

Reeftank123, im new to this whole saltwater thing. Full spectrum sounds expensive. Lol. I just want some LED's that arent going to limit my choices on corals and fish. Lol

saltbandit I'm also +1 on the Chinese brand and that Tuna Bullet system is something to go see... between there and there LFS you can get a full opinion on light before making the dive. Go by and see Tuna Bullet you will not be disappoint. Again Tuna Bullet thanks for the start into my new lighting system.

      Full spectrum dimmable.
Look up evergrow lighting. D120 series
They are about $180 each. Will cover a 2'x2' section
