I found it much easier to run the 90 off of the ball valve than strait into the bottom of the tank. I guess I may be losing a bit of flow, But whith that in mind I still probably have about 700 gph...
That is exactly what I did and it came out awesome. I just started the corners using a few holes from the drill. Then used a large strait edge that is meant to be used as a guide for circular saws...

I placed it up higher because I heard that asm recomends running it at eight inches deep and that section of the sump is twelve deep.
