I would stay conservative and get either a derasa, squamosa or possibly a tan colored maxima. I wouldn't try the brightly colored croceas.

Try doing a search for "Gorilla Crab" to see if that's what you have.
Yeah...I use Dakota's method. It helps if you have a small cut on your finger. It increases the sensitivity.
I agree with the above. It's better to find out what's causing the stray voltage and replace it by plugging/unplugging each device than to buy a grounding probe and mask the problem.
Cool...I'll check out those places. I'm breaking in my new bike, so the farther away, the better. :)
Hey...can anyone give me recommendations for a good motorcycle accessory store? I've been to Cycle Gear and it was OK, but a lot of the stuff they sell is junk. I recently purchased a metric cruiser...
I thought it was spelled Niagara Falls...not Niaraga Falls.
The bubble coral is placed farther back in the tank. Plus, there's not a lot of flow to carry the sweepers, so I haven't had any problems yet.
OK...here it is. My nano cube at 10 months old.
Front tank shot. I'm battling a small hair algae problem up top, so I'm going to cut the feedings and do more water changes....
Almost ready...I recently added an anemone shrimp and a palythoa and I'm currently acclimating a Galaxea, a trumpet coral, a green blasto merletti, and a cool mushroom. I have a pistol shrimp that...
You could try bowl feeding it. Take it out and place it in a bowl 3-4 times per week and then add just enough DTs to tinge the water slightly green. Leave it in for 20 minutes at a time. I've never...
SPS are way easier to keep. You don't have to feed them. The colors are amazing and the shapes they grow into are awesome once they take off. I love LPS also. I'm not a big fan of leathers.
Tie it to a piece of small LR using some fishing line and then lean it against the glass...that way it won't overtake your entire aquascape. To frag it, just peel it off like a fruit roll-up.
He's most likely hiding behind a rock and needs some time to recover. I wouldn't be too alarmed...they do this from time to time. If he doesn't come out on his own in a couple of days, then check...
are you saying he'd be too strict? :D
Nano is the term used to describe how quickly it will take your tank to crash if something goes wrong....nanoseconds.
Will do. I'm working through an algae bloom. It's my first nano and I was feeding my tank twice a day like I feed my regular tank....oooops! With months of overfeeding, I've got tons of...
I mix 1/8th of a teaspoon of kalk in a cup of RO water and pour it directly into the flow of a powerhead (not over corals or inverts of course). Here's the article that inspired me...skip to calcium...
How old is your nephew? Will he be able to fix any problems that arise with extra plumbing?
Man...I would be reeeeaaaaallllllyyyyyy nervous about trying something like that. If something happens to the tank while you're drilling (like a crack), or if it takes you much longer to drill the...
Damn...cool!
So a few of the experts on Reef Central are joining a new web site. Anyone know which web site?
You can order them online from Drs Foster and Smith...they sell them for dog vaccinations.
Far West is located in the Toys R Us shopping center on the corner of Murrieta Hot Springs and the 215. Rich actually has some good deals.
Up in Riverside, there is Coral Sea Aquatics off Indiana...
1) 6" to 12" off the water surface.
2) add a couple of pieces of egg crate over your tank when you first install the lights and then remove one sheet every week.
