Watch out for some things like chitons (and maybe abalone). Their teeth/scrapers are so tough they can actually scratch some acrylic surfaces. I've definitely had chitons do it to an acrylic tank.
Anybody have a clone of RBTA that stays relatively small. I think I remember hearing awhile back about their being some clones that just stay smaller. If so, let me know if you have any
Hey Marlin, Interested in getting one of these but I'm wondering what the focal range is, ie how close to the tank can you put it and it still focus.....

Depends on heat load and ambient temp. When I had it setup on my 50 with 250w MH in poway in house without A/C it always kept my tank at set point of 78 degrees.
