really!?? if that is the case then that is great. what you have pictured is what I have. I do not have any 'fuzziness'. so to be clear, you do not see this as problematic?

what lighting regimen did you use to begin with? amount of time blue and white etc?
heat was monitored closely, plus the fixture has built in fans. Temp did not range more than 1 degree F. thanks again for you input. I will try running the lights shorter and see where it gets me.
short (i.e., only 9 hrs blue and about 2 hrs 10k) exposure. coming from about 15 hrs blue and 10 hrs 10k from previous set up. bulbs were about 18 mo. old when I replaced them.
I tried the acclimation route, believe me I don't want to get rid of the set up. if you have any specific suggestions I'm all ears . . .
I've never heard of water conditions bleaching corals. the algae was likely a result of the extra light mucking up the water though. thanks for the bump.
I wish you were right. but we are talking bleached corals and "cooked" rocks. plus red algae, no fun.
