All. Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up, but circumstances have changed I will no longer be selling my tank. Thanks for all the responses and I apologize for backing out on the sale. I'll...
Send me a PM with what you're interested in and what you'll offer for them. I already have a couple offers, but I'll use the order of PMs to track who came first.
We're getting ready for a cross-country move and can't take it with us.
Please make an offer..... it's impossible to gauge what the market is for this type of aquarium. We will consider all...
Thanks for the input. Time to get to cleaning it out.
Hey guys, sorry I've been absent so long.
I have a new growth of a greenish colored mat (see photo) that appeared on my live rock in the last week. Could someone please help identify it?

Some more pics of the tank with new lights (Current Orbit Marine LEDs 2x36in). Started work on the stand enclosure today, should have more pics of progress for that soon.

Amazing build!!!
Looking good. Can't wait to see more.

Quick question.....Anybody running a Blue Line 70? Mine is extremely loud. Just wondering if it's a loud pump and I need to sound insulate the stand when I close it in, or is there a problem with...
Sorry I haven't updated much this week. Almost complete with getting everyone moved over. Should be fully up and running by tomorrow afternoon.

Good point. Thanks for the tip.
Well, after a minor setback (leaky bulkhead on one of my return lines), I finally got the tank in place and water added for a leak test.

Love it!!! BTW, I also have a 29 gallon in my office. Believe it or not, the wife is the one that wants the big tank. Not that I'm complaining...LOL
Okay, so I have a question. Since I'm planning to move everything from my 90 gallon over to my 180, do I need to get the 180 up and cycled with new sand and rock and then move everything over?
...
Thanks, I'll check them out.
Anybody know of a place in north county to buy good plumbing parts, especially gate valves?
Still available? If so, I may be interested. Are you available to show it this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon?
That would be great if you don't mind. Would really like to see how it's made.
I saw that you didn't do the original design on the rock wall, but any suggestions on how to put one together? I love the concept and might try to add it to my 180 gal build I'm working on right...
Great idea. I added the bottom bracing to support a plywood base for the sump and other equipment. I'm using an oversized sump, so if the spill gets out of the space I have planned, I doubt a few...
The first build was double braced in back and single in front and once built presented an uneven surface. I may add additional bracing, but not until I see how the tank rests on the stand as is.
The cross pieces are actually 2x8s, so should be fine. I have considered adding center pilings just to be on the safe side depending on how it settles once I start adding weight to it.
So, the new tank arrived this week and we picked it up today. Unfortunately, the stand that I had ~85% complete wouldn't work thanks to a top surface with really bad contact points along the tank...
Awesome build...can't wait to see the finished project.
