I have used for 15 years. it is cold, clean and a bit too salty. I dose with tw part and thin it to 1.023. Free is good. Especially when a weekly water change is 50 gallons.

I have tested it straight out of the sea, and after sitting in bins for 6 weeks. Ammonia- 0- both times.
No problems. Just no sun to keep down the green stuff. Folks who use 55 gallon drums often run a small PH in the water all the time. Mine just sits till I use it. No problems.

To heat water fast in a blue aquatainer, I drop in one of those hot tea heaters from the drug store ($6.00 at Longs) heats it to about 80 degrees in two hours.
