*bump*
So I have this bulb that I can't use. :curse: My ballast doesn't like it. I've talked to hamilton, they sent me a second bulb, and tested the first. It's a perfectly good bulb, but i can't return it,...
My mind has been blown away. . . .
The Canon 100mm f 2.8 macro lens is the best one out there IMO. I'd even take it over the L series version (as do most other pros). It's super sharp, and gives you an 8" working distance at lifesize...
That's a range near Ventura. Not my gun, but I have my own .308 for the zombies.... .50 is a bit more than I'd need :)
I'm ready for the big quake.

April 20th is a LOT of people's birthday. . .
Photography, Scuba, Shooting.
I would not have voted for the health care bill, so let that be a foundation for my next question. . . What proof could you possibly have to back this up?
I figure a dozen or so would do me plenty. Problem is... you'd have to priority mail them in a fish baggie.. but i would pay for that too :)
The sigma lenses are pretty decent. They will work for most hobbiest and those looking to take casual macro shots.. But for the true macro lenses (1:1 ratio and ultimate clarity) you'll need to spend...
did you find any? I need some too.
I use it currently on my nano, and used it on my 50 before I had a calcium reactor. I had good results with it, BUT it wasn't the best at keeping my alk in check. I had to supplement that sometimes.
If the tank is less than 12 months old, this could be the cause as well. Most tanks mature at 8-12 months, and it is that this point that the algae goes away. Outside of this, be wary of bioload,...
oooo. i want some blue zoas :)
Just an FYI-- opinions are limited when it comes to peoples sales thread. If you have a question pertaining to the sale, and it's not inquiring as to a purchase, please PM the individual. We all have...
What's your lighting on that first shot?
Sadly, money is tight right now so I'm going to have to sell one of my babies. I'll put up pictures tonight, but I figured I'd get the ball rolling with a description and open it up for...
Keep in mind, these phones are offered that cheap WITH contract.. If you are like me, and can't get an upgrade at that price, it's NOT a bad deal... so stop threadcrapping.
actually, my studio work was done with hot lights :-) still cant' find them. Still searching :)
Most of my black glass work was back when I was in my lighting studio class. I shot them on a 4x5 view camera on film, so I'll have to dig up my prints and scan them (hand processed and printed, too...
nice. I love shooting on black glass. if I can figure out where my photos are, I'll post some of mine. . . hrm; maybe I have some on my photobucket...
it's huge, but the magnification is only 200-500. They make 600 and 1200. The only reason it's huge is because of the aperture (2.8). Doesn't mean I don't want one :D
Nikon makes a NICE 200-400...
Looks like you got lens flair, too. if it's not flair, then the jpg settings you have may be out of wack. Outside of that, there are a couple other possibilites, but looks like flair to me.'
