Nem in Powerhead
Well, started teaching yesterday after being away from tank for 2 weeks and stressed about how tank would do- happy to say all coral did great. Did a 5g water change yesterday. Last night reading a thread on RC about a guy whose nem went into power head and steps he's taking to try to save it. Came in this morning to a cloudy tank, don't see nem in its normal spot, lo and behold, sucked up in power head.
Would like to do a 5g water change but don't have any water and can't leave to get any since I'm teaching.
Any chance a member in Mira Mesa has 5g they can bring to my school-Jonas Salk Elementary. It's asking a lot but not sure how this 16g tank will do if I wait until tomorrow.

I’m in El Cajon, but will come by. It will take me about 45 minutes to an hour to get there. I’ll text you.

Really? That's a far drive. You really don't have to. I was hoping it was convenient for a member. I do have carbon in a bag and nothing is looking too terrible but most other coral little to no polyp extension. Do you think tank will be okay until tomorrow?

I replied to your text, but will also reply here. If the corals look like they are dying, I have no problem bringing you water. If they don’t look like they are dying, you might be able to get away with running carbon until tomorrow. It really all depends on what the livestock looks like and how they are reacting
