In need of Apex/tech guru

I've had my apex for awhile now and have never been able to get it to connect to my network properly so it's pretty much been useless except for monitoring parameters.

Thought I would give it another shot tonight but now I need to update firmware and it's been a nightmare! I am not a super computer savvy person and the apex setup manuals are pretty much jibberish to me.

I plan on leaving for vacation in June and need my tank to be on autopilot while I'm gone.

It really sucks that I've spent over a grand and mounted this thing in my cabinet and i can't get it to do what it's suppose to do...

If anyone would be willing to come up and setup my apex to my network and get this thing running smoothly I would be willing to pay for your time and travels.

RussM is your guy. Have you tried the apex forum? Russ's website is http://www.reeftronics.net/ he is usually lurking here and answers most Apex questions. If not try to get him on his site.

It's more complicated than that. It won't allow me to run the firmware update even following all their simple instructions. Then their trouble shoots talk about changing network gateways, IP addresses, ripping files, etc....

I am not computer guy but i did mine following the instructions and also hooked up apex fusion and a bridge i knew nothing about it but i followed it and it was simple. You need to hook it up to a router and the computer will see it that is when you will be able to hook it up with the fusion, u will need to sign up to apex fusion.
