VBulletin embedded Chat is BACK! - Guidelines

Ok...after popular demand we have moved away from the New, Add-On Chat and reverted back to the embedded VBulletin Chat feature that shows at the top of the page.


Sooooo.....the ChatRoom is back but we want to remind everyone of the Guidelines:

- Chat is a Premium Member Feature. Registered users can view the comments, but not post.

- Same type of content rules apply, no profanity, drama, bad pics etc...

- No Active Selling, For Sale postings, or Advertising your FS Links by Sellers.

This area is designed for small talk, hanging out, checking in, lurking, immediate responses to questions, hello's, etc.

ok so you said no bad pics, does this mean we can post regular pics? Ive had a couple people say its not allowed, or get mad when posting pics in the chat?

Hmmm...that is a good question. I wonder if it impact bandwidth...have to thing that one out.

I know in the past I have seen bad pics and those do stay in archives, etc.

Have to see if it impacts storage.

I spoke to Chad about clearning out chat every day. If that is implemented it shouldn't affect bandwidth....

Unless it's a TINY pic, I am one of those haters of pics in the chat :). It's just not big enough. Plus, what's so hard about just posting a link to the pic instead of the pic itself?

I prefer that links to pictures be posted. It keeps chat flowing. I gigantic pic in chat has always been a pet peeve of mine.

You can do whatever you feel right...just where do you put a CL post? "Found on CL" Not a bad idea for peoples that don't read CL regularly, interesting sometimes. But if you do, might as well cut it and paste it into it's own post or refer the CL person here to register.

Do as you wish as long as you feel right about it...
