Blue star leapard wrasse
I was told that this blue star leapard wrasse was a female leapard wrasse and when I get home and some more research on why this wrasse looked different then the one that was in their display tank I found out it was a blue star and that it wasn't the one I wanted. And in a couple of days it died. It wouldn't eat because I was feeding the wrong food. Can believe that the staff wasn't as knowledgeable. Lost $50

Well, technically the blue star you purchased was a female leopard, just a different genus in the leopard wrasse family. Did you show them a picture of the exact leopard you wanted and what was the name of the employee that assisted you?

Yes I did. And I don't remember the person that helped.

IME this wrasses tend to be very finicky when it comes down to eating and even coming out when the lights are on. especially when purchasing from LFS
if i intent to purchase from LFS, couple things that need to be asked is if its eating and how long have they had the fish. having a QT is a big plus not many of us qt our fish and take that risk.

Yea that's right

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your situation, have you reached out and spoke with AW? As with any business, employees change all the time, questions get mixed up and mistakes are made unintentionally. In my professional business experience.. I have yet to find a business that was perfect.. including my own consulting firm.. I also do a ton of business transaction both as a provider and a consumer and always find flaws.
My point is, if you noticed that the fish was the wrong species you should of had contacted the business as soon as you found out and not wait. You had mentioned in your FS thread that the wrasse was eating mysis and pod and that you have had it for two months, I'm thinking that it was doing fair otherwise it would of had starved and kicked the bucket within a weeks time or less.
I am obsessed with Leopard Wrasses... and have lost quite a few.. thankfully I was able to pick up an established one from a fellow SDR member :)
Best wishes :)
