Finally added a skim mate locker
And an automatic neck cleaner
Dan from avast made me a modified base ( it’s sitting on a small box)
The cable goes right to the apex base unit 8 pin input to shut off the skimmer when the locker if full
The ANC is programmed to run every
6 hours for 15 seconds
The carbon cylinder keeps the stank out of my living room

What happens if your skimmer overflows and you have one of those external chamber? Genuinely curious.

Report back when the failsafes find the way to not shut off and overflow. Love the idea but am terrified of computer links as failsafes since Y2K :demon:

I have the reef Octopus version so there is a ping pong ball in there to shut if off.
I think with the combo that you have you could undersize the skimmer so it just basically skims 24/7. Add a filter roller and you will have a very low nutrient tank.
