ON SALE: Aquacultured Red Hot Goniopora - $10 Frags

One of the many things we are proud of here at Reef Lounge USA is our strain of aquacultured Red Goniopora. We've been selling frags of these guys for a while now and finally decided to shed some light on the story behind them.

A year or so ago one of our suppliers sent us a box full to the brim with softball sized red gonis. At first we were perturbed, gonis having a bad rap with hobbyists and all. So in an attempt to salvage the purchase we cut a handful up into decent sized frags. As we expected they didn't sell that way either. However, as time went on and they sat in the back room they didn't die as we expected, and instead they began to encrust and grow over the plugs. We were thrilled with this prospect and started taking frags from those that had begun to grow and started culturing them out.

Long story short we now have a captive grown strain of red goni that we've coined “Red Hot”. Its been a great seller for us so far and expect it to be in the future as well. For this week only.
