what are these??
I have added everything from frogs to salamanders and turtles to my koi pond. Recently the bullfrogs have been croaking and I saw some slime coated eggs I assumed were frog eggs. I noticed them about 4 days ago and placed some in a container to observe. This morning they hatched into what look like black worms that wiggle up to get air and then return to the bottom. Can anyone identify these things?? I know they just hatched but if they are tadpoles, I kind of thought their shape would look like tadpole, can anyone help identify them?
Thank you for any help

If you can remove one and take a picture of it, I will be able to ID it for you. Please try to take a clear photo. Thanks!

If they are in fact tadpoles, they are either Bullfrog or African Clawed Frog at that size. Just need a picture of one that's clear and close up to be sure.

thank you took one this morning and it is below, they seem to swim a little more now and maybe growing a head. one ends looks larger now than the other I am thinking bullfrogs as they were in a long slime coat and black dots inside but came out looking like a tiny leech after hatching.

Unfortunately I cannot tell by the photo. It's not clear enough to show any detail.

got a slightly better pic, pretty sure they are bull frog poles, they have a clear tail developing and head, but lay on their side as they develop. The best picture i can get is below. I am going with Tadpoles and bullfrogs, I got rid of my clawed frogs years ago but have seen them in some local ponds. The tails seem to be becoming more evident today

I think my next post may be for bullfrog tadpoles or maybe chris will trade me some food for them. I have a few hundred in the pond that have scattered and may be eaten by the fish plus a critter keper full of them. Last night I saw the pair of bullfrogs that have grown huge, I guess they have to go before the leopard frogs go into the pond. I am sure my neighbors will appreciate my relocating the bullfrogs and they have been very loud lately

looks like they are tree frog tadpoles, as they remain small and dark black-brown. I know there were some long ago in my yard but have not heard them in a long while. I guess some survived and laid eggs as I have at least a hundred of them that are not getting bigger than a 1/2 inch. here is a pic of them today, 5 weeks later
