I have a rhodactis mushroom that, for some reason, continually seems to move towards a large, stationary Symphyllia colony. (Guessing symphyllia- def a brain) the rhodactis loses terribly at chemical warefare as does most of what touches the symph. I’ve had to pull them apart a couple of times. Is there a chemical being sent out from the symphyllia (pheromones?) that attracts the mushroom to its inevitable death or is it just a coincidence?

if its reaching that way if possible glue a piece of live rock between them.so.it grows upward on the rock, rather than towards and against the other coral.Quote:
