I bought this used Current Prime 1/15HP last winter and decided to try it out this week, when my garage hit 90+deg F. Of course it's not chilling. After doing research on google and youtube, i'm motivated to upgrade the compressor with a full kit, new compressor, dryer and lines. ~$150 @ amazon and ebay.
Anyone a refrigerant experts on sdreef that I could discuss this project with?
HAHAHAHA! Of course it's all been done before. Cheaper to go with a window AC unit and just plumb in the titanium exchanger from my chiller. Now just need to find the right minded HVAC person to braze and fill the system.
Kudos for doing this yourself but, you can just pick-up a used chiller for around 200 bucks...

I've got this 130 gallon tank I call Hodor. 1/4 - 1/3HP is hard to find used around $200. Usually they get taken before I can get a hold of.

And now with CA legalized marijuana, the hydroponic growers are back in and not selling their chiller equipment. Just IMO.
