So I finally got a copperband butterfly. I was weary for the longest time because I know they can do damage on coral. After seeing many people keep these in reef tanks with no ill affects, I decided it was safe for me to pick one up.
I have a sailfin tang that was one of the first fish in my tank so it's pretty much his tank lol after acclimation, I released the copperband into my DT and immediately the sailfin started messing with him. He was chasing him, picking at him, and trying to use his little blade on his tail to stick him. Sooo...I netted the copperband and stuck him in a little QT cage. I'm hoping the other fish will get used to him and everything will be all good...we shall see. If not, I've always got my other tanks to put him in but I really wanted him in my main DT. Maybe once I transfer everything to my new 187 gal I'll leave the sailfin out for a while and then reintroduce him. He's super cool tho and I'm definitely excited either way!
