I just added four 1/4 inch bergia to my tank last night. Did the slow drip acclimation for a couple hours, then gently placed them into the tank. They promptly disappeared and this morning I was able to find one of them. I'm not sure if they've eaten any aptasia yet, but I'm waiting with bated breath. Most of the tiny aptasia are near very large aptasia and I'm not certain if the big boys will try to eat the bergia...

does anyone have a successful or failed experience with bergia they'd like to share? :confused2:

What size tank and what fish do you have?
1/4" berghia are still babies. They'll eat for sure, it's just gonna take a while if they don't get eaten first.
I have a bunch of berghia, adults and babies, I have them in a separate tank and move aiptasia infested rock into it so I won't have a problem with the fish eating or tasting them.

Great idea! I have only one fish in this 30 gallon tank.

This is the only fish in there. (https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-FV96OK8cuGs/USqgqUoFIQI/AAAAAAAAF1M/OvF8p41SmS4/s1064/20130224_152133.jpg) He only picks off the substrate and rocks, so I guess he could try tasting the bergia. I've tried to keep him fed since I put them in the tank. I will have to try the second tank method next time.

It looks like a scooter blenny?(hard to tell) I bet it'll take a taste and likely kill them, if it doesn't eat them. berghia are fragile.

Changed my mind, looks like a lawnmower blenny, the eyes. He'll probably be ok.

That's good news... but be patient, I put 12 in a 125gal, and never saw but one for 2 months.
My aptasia problem slowly withered away... and I never saw another Berghia again. They are nudibranch... not slugs. ;)

I saw one begin the other day, looking uch bigger. I don't know if they'll ever be big enough to eat the biggest aptasia. Can anyone confirm if they will?

They will get them. I saw a few little guys going to town on a 2"+ aiptasia the other day.
