just so happens, they are right here next to me..

add w/5ml Syringe 4ml of water to the test vial,

shake the Kh-ind bottle, then add 2 drops to the vial..

put the plastic cap firmly on the 1ml syrin, and from the KH reagent draw until the back of the pistol is at the 1.00 ml mark. (there will be some air don't worry about it)

add 1 drop with the 1 ml syriange and swirl, and keep adding drops until it changes from Blue/green to organge red/ pink

Then post back what the syrinage is at, and i'll tell you your number cause i'm not going to type in the whole chart.. LOL

Probably going to switch to bottled DI to see if it helps. The readings are almost exact in my 55, my 29 and my 7. It has to be the water.

Lol, well I feel that way sometimes.

I am checking into a RO/DI system, but we're in the middle of buying a house, so i'm gonna wait till after we get the new place, and install one before all the clutter gets put in :)

But that's definately on my list, not only for good drinking water, but for the fish (the drinking water part is the only way to justify it to the wife) :D

Yep, that's what's happening then. My tanks have been a little out of wack lately, and I figured this was going to be it. My Calcium didnt even register on the Salifert test, so it's above 500 ppm, which is pretty high.

you use bionic? Just add less of the calcium till it balances it.. I was having alk problems now i just do a couple water changes a week with Scripps, and don't even bother dosing at all.

Started dosing Bionic Alk tonight. Will test again over the next few days. I thought about using Scripps water, and I probably will just start doing that from now on.

Scripps it is. I found some nice 5 gallon containers at wal-mart for 3.99 each, so i'll grab a few of those today and make a run. I hope this clears up my problem. Everything in my tank seems to survive, but not thrive.
To be honest, I dosed Bionic alk last night, and my xenia seem alot happier today already.

My calcium in my tank was out of control. Now I just add component 1 and it is doing better. Just added 3 new clams, so i will see what happens.

Yep, i'm still monitering both calcium and alk, but only adding alk right now. We'll see what happens. Everything does look better just in a few days.
