Hi all,

My name is Matt. I am currently a College student studying physics. Back in april I picked up a 29 gallon visio tank, 40lbs of live sand, and 35lbs of live rock. 2 months later my tank cycled and i picked up a pair of ORA Ocellaris Clowns. A month ago I decided i wanted to make it a reef tank. It currently has 2 Clowns, a Cleaner Shrimp, a Mandarin Goby(frozen food trained), a CUC, a Starburst Polyp Colony, a Green Bubble Tip Anemone, and a large Zoanthid Colony. My tank equipment is an Aquatic Life Internal Mini 115, 120w LED Dimmable Fixture, Phosban Reactor(used once a month), a Hydor Koralia Evolution 550gph, 2 Maxi-jet 600's. If only i knew how to post picture from my desktop on here. I tried the Image icon yet it only allows links.

I plan upgrading my tank in a couple weeks. I plan on getting a better skimmer and a Hydor Smart Wave Controller and another 425 nano Hydor wave maker.

Thanks!
Matt

Yeah being my first reef tank I wanted to go big because its easier to run.. However I barely have room for my 29! In the future maybe ill go big. Maybe this summer even.

Be careful...I went from a 45g to a 90g to a 135g to my current 300g. The addiction is bad. Welcome to SDR and don't be afraid to show yourself in person at some of the SDR/SDMAS events we have every month or so.

Sounds like a lot of fun! When do they announce the meeting time and place?

Usually a few weeks prior, sometimes more. This month we are going up to Orange County to visit the Reef-A-Palooza show. It is next weekend.
