Recently broke down my 150 gallon (60Lx24Wx24H) and now starting my next project. It's a 125 gallon acrylic cube/square tank (40Lx40Wx18H). Just brought it home the other day. :)

Yesterday, I wet sanded and buffed out the tank to get any scratches off before adding water so I don't regret it later. I sanded with 600, 800, 1500, and then 2000 grit wet sand paper. Then finished with novus 1,2,3 kit. And just in case I get any scratches later... Mighty Magnet underwater scratch removal kit

My light arrived this past weekend. The paint was flaking off a bit and it was a dull grey color. I went ahead and took apart the pendant shell and stripped the original paint. Now it's off to get painted!

Did my aquascaping this morning. Initially I wanted to do exclusively all tonga branch, but I realized it would take me forever to find enough branch to fill the tank. I decided to aquascape with partial branch and shelves/overhangs. Luckily I had some nice rock to work with. With a little drilling and acrylic rods I came up with this. Just need to find a sm-med flat shelf rock to thread through the center drain pipe.

Purchased a couple of nice pieces of dry shelf rock from BRS. I drilled them, so I could thread them through the center drain pipe. First rock came out nice, the second piece broke probably from applying too much pressure when drilling. I was able to salvage a part of it and attached it to the other shelf rock using an acrylic rod.

Nice light setup! Is that the XR4 or XR6? 250 watt halide? I like that fixture because you dont find too many T5/single ended halide fixtures. Perfect for a radium 20K on a HQI ballast :)

Update. So I took down the tank a few months ago, only to start it back up this past week. I ordered an overflow box from advanced acrylics so I don't have to worry about all the display tank water dumping into the sump. Also I'm placing the overflow box in the back corner to maximize the space for aquascaping.
