naso tang

Recently, I acquired in a transaction with a local reefer a 20 gallon long aquarium that was drilled for drain and return, and had the back painted black. It had a stand with it I needed temporarily for another purpose. Think the original owner of this tank might have been NickSDC, it traded a few hands since then, but seeing this little tank decided to start a project just for the hell of it. So here it is having worked to assemble components for awhile, and had some time the last few days to set it up. Not sure I'm even going to use it, just needed a project, and I think it turned out nice enough I might use it for a frag setup.

20G long, Brian Reefrager built the overflow out of some acrylic pieces I had lying around. Sweet job, we krylon painted it and it looks real nice with black silicone to seal. Put in a maggie muffler and locline return nozzles.

Return pump is a Rio hyperflow 10, and I got a nice eshopps RS-75 10 gallon sump that could fit the stand. Also picked up a cpr back-pak 2r, and did a fishing line mesh mod and venturi mod to an MJ1200 to get it going. Also had to extend the outlet of the skimmer drain since this is HOB in the sump and it was too noisy otherwise

Picked up a 36" tek 4 bulb fixture, built a PVC hanging rack, threw in a koralia and heater, and it was done.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Got frags from my other two tanks I could put in there, but not sure if I want to cycle it and keep it or unload it since I really just built it for fun. Might come in handy when I do a 75G to 90G upgrade I'm planning in the next few weeks, that's another project on it's own I've had going on for a few months...
