So after having my 120 as a fish only tank with no fish in it I finally decided to take the plunge and convert it to a reef tank. I got rid of the few living things in it and drained it last week. Stopped over at Aquatic Warehouse and picked up 2 AI Sols and a MP40. My friend I built my 40 gallon sump with a fudge and a Tunze skimmer. Today my dad and i built my canopy which i'm going to suspend over my tank so the lights are 12inches off the water. My dad and i came up with a very slick way to mount the lights to the canopy so if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I don't have any pix of the set up but i can take some tomorrow and post them here. I didn't like the white underneath so i pulled down right now to paint it black. Everyone here has been extremely helpful and i know i'm going to be turning to this forum for many many questions to come. I will post pix as things change. I hope to have water in it by the middle of the week. One of my baffles cracked so i had to replace that today. I'm going to leak test it tomorrow and if all goes well i'm going to be make several trips to scripts to get this bad boy filled up with salty goodness. I'm super stoked to get this tank looking they way it should. STAY TUNED>
