Tank of the Quarter

We will be starting the new SanDiegoReefs tank of the quarter. The winner will receive a free SanDiegoReefs t-shirt, have the prestige of having his/her tank being the winner, and have its own thread posted. When the votes have been tabulated, the winner will be notified, and the infamous Nick_Kun will come take pictures of your tank/system.

If you want to nominate your or someone else's tank, post that users name, and a picture of his/her tank. Nominations will run until June 30th 2012. The voting will begin July 1st 2012, and will run until July 30th 2012 .The winning tank will be posted the second week of August.

Lets limit yourself to one post per nomination....

I would like to second PK's tank. PK was one of the first people I met on the board back in 2007. He has always graciously allowed me into his home, and let me picked his brain. He has one bad a$$ tank!!

Thanks a lot Pete, I really appreciate the nomination and am glad to be mentioned. IMO, I don't think it should be in the running, it is by no means a display tank which is what I thought TOQ was about. Maybe in the not too distant future I will have a tank worthy of the honor, and not just an ishton of badazz coralz!

I don't think anyone should recuse themselves from the contest. Just leave it up to the votes. Believe me, I doubt anyone wants to see fancy pics of some of my half dead acros, but it is what it is... People not wanting to participate is what has been the downfall of this TOTM sort of ting for years now on this forum.

This is awesome. Just saw this thread (not sure how it passed me by)... there's lots of tanks I'd like to nominate! Only one per post? ;)

And thanks to those who dropped my name, for my 240. I'm not sure it's worthy, as I've seen some amaaaazing setups.

My first nominee would have to be;
(His name is ROB, he's in the navy... and had a 60gal'ish sized tank, that was stocked. Every inch... covered. I don't see him on here much anymore... as he was mostly on SeaReef. Ring a bell for anyone? I don't know his screen name)

- I know some who have seen the threads, think they are voting on two polls. One for bigger tanks and one for nanos... or, they aren't understanding the 10 poll per post problem you had. Not sure how you can convey that anymore then what you've already mentioned. But it does let people vote twice, once in each poll. Somewhat of an unfair way to get a consensus for tank-of-the-quarter. Double posting on one poll is what's happening, or can happen which will offset the results.

- I myself haven't seen all the tanks in the poll. I wish I have, but I have only seen a few of them. So I can't weigh in on them all (I know this goes for many others too), without some sort of picture to go by. Any chance pictures of each nominee will be posted to gauge the tank we're voting on? I think it'd make it much more fair to the nominees and to the people participating in the poll.
