Okay... so, I'm officially in DEEP.
My motto, is usually GO BIG, or GO HOME. And well, I'm trying to live up that motto... In doing so, I bought SHERRERB's 135 gallon tank/stand/canopy.

I'm calling this a holding tank, yet it'll be mostly for fish that aren't ready to be placed in my tanks. Or, for fish that are for others, and they need to place to store them temporarily... free of ich, and anything else that could cause them harm. I'll be able to divide the tank, with acrylic dividers or egg crate material... depending on what fish, need to be divided from each other.
The main point of this tank, will be for adding similar like fish to my main reef. For example, I lost a sail fin recently and want to replace it. But need a place where I can house all my tangs... removing my yellow/purple/etc from my display and putting them all together in one tank... to, meet-n-greet each other in an unfamiliar place. That place, being this 135gal.
... so, I've begun the "build" of this tank.
I started to just paint the stand, and repair some large fan holes in the canopy. No need for fans as it'll be running minimal LED lighting, and I bought a 1/3hp chiller from BNE. I prefer chillers over fans to regulate temp. HOWEVER, the stand has these tiny little doors due to the amount of vertical braces. I removed the doors, and the intermediate braces... to give myself a large door area, where I'll make four new doors to cover the two large openings.
And yes, I re-braced the stand to accomodate my removed bracing. In fact, the stand will be stronger then it was originally... just with more access to the sump area.
Here's the stand as I work on it;
Larger openings in front, will be covered by 4 doors (I'll bondo and sand new wood joints smooth before paint);

Bracing under the stand to accommodate the removed (2) 1x8 uprights (horizontal 2x4 added along with uprights - still allows 16" of sump space);

Back of the stand as it was when I bought it, cut for overflow area;

These canopy holes will be repaired as if they were never there;

MADJAMEY sold me his 60gal sump that was built by the late LARRYM. It doesn't have a proper sized return area for my liking, so it too will be MOD'd to have a larger return pump area and more gallon capacity. I don't use ATO systems, so I need more evap space in the sump. I've already got the glass cut for the MOD, and should have it done today

I'm going to do as I did on my 90gal FOWLR, and that is to hang a CPR HOB FUGE on the sump to accommodate a fuge... yet, maintain plenty of real-estate in the sump for a large return gallon capacity. And also to fit my chiller coil, and anything else needed. This sump with have a large CPR HOB FUGE, while the 90gal has a Medium CPR HOB FUGE. My 240gallon Reef will maintain an in-sump 25gal fuge (even though I'll be swapping out the 80gal sump to a 125gal sump here really soon - to accommodate an ASM G5 skimmer).
... I'm a bit behind today, so I'll have the stand painted and the sump done by end of day tomorrow. And should be able to move the stand and tank into the house by tomorrow night or Friday AM. Plumb, and be ready for water by end of day Friday.
