Hey! Here is the link to your pond! Good to "see" you again Marde...

Here is my Gigantic Pond...started out by digging out the area only to find a previous pond buried. It was out of cast concrete with wire so I had to scrap that idea for a while and put an in-place plastic tub. Smaller than most, deep enough to get the attention of local racoons that recently cleaned it out. Soon as it warms up, I'll drop some more fish in her. Enjoy the cold weather, makes the water crystal clear. As a note an Eheim 1262 has been on this running 7/24/365 for the past 3+ years flawlessly.

Surrounded by nine plumerias...

Yeah, the raccoons cleaned out the koi pond of my neighbor. That's why I went five feet deep in my koi pond. Knock on wood, I still have the original 6 I put in there.
I agree it's so pretty with the water hovering around 50 degrees! No algae blooms.

I am looking forward to the show. Yeah, I have heard stories of how guys are buying koi for cheap and having them grow into 4-5 thousand dollar koi. I have seen that shiro in person, it's a great fish.

Well after seeing everyone else's, I am a bit shy but here is my humble little pond

I just finished with it today. Mi had a 40 gallon in the same place but needed to upgrade it for our turtle. Now she has a 130. With any luck, Shelly goes to her new home tomorrow...

Wow what a difference winter and summer looks like in the pond. What kind of filter are you using in your pond? How long do the water plants bloom?
Thanks for showing your pond.

I build the barrel filter, i have bio ball in the bottom layer, then got filter material from home depot, I already had the barrel and sump pump. That is it..... My first plan was to do a rock, gravel , sand filter. But i was going to spend more money than i realy wanted. The plants are blooming one after another, feeding them right now, so they are bloomin very well. Does any one on here now where i could get Lotus? I am trying to void ordering on line. I been to some LA shops but have had no luck.
