vBulletin 4 Upgrade

Fellow Reefers,

I have just upgraded SDR to the latest version of Vbulletin 4.1.7. It is a major upgrade with lots of new functionality (including personal blogs & CMS page). As you can see it looks a little strange (The old design was incompatible with vB 4 so this is a rough "re-creation"), but it will be improved.

Also, there are going to be some teething problems for sure. I apologize in advance - please reply with any problems, errors, bugs, you experience or if you have any questions.

Is there a way to stay logged in? On the old site you could check the box that kept you logged in. So far on the new site I have to log back in when I'm off the site for a little while.

You should see a small box under the user name and password that says "Remember Me".

Let me know if this works.

I was lucky enough to see the new version develop. Chad and Mike put in a lot of work to get this upgrade done so quickly. I for one am happy to see change. We all preached for it, now we've got it. It's only going to get better too. Nice work fellas!

no labels for buttons on the advanced editor......seen below in this pic, also as i type in the quick reply box there are no labels (although the tooltip alttext descriptions pop up)...


also i cant figure out how to put in my album photos in the reply box.... my album is here with an example screen shot

I have been having the same issue but have found that if i click on the top banner it logs me in again and takes me to the forums

Dave, don't feel bad, it does not remember me either...LOL No, at this time, you have to check the checkbox at login. It was doing that for me intermittently before the upgrade.

Either way, we will track it down. Took a bit of a day off today and did not download and load all the missing plugins, will do so over the next couple days along with bringing in a professional VB expert for things we can't fix.

Can we get the quick edits back? Like when making a post to make bold, underlined, colors etc?

I kinda like not having the FS sold urgent etc... a lot cleaner I think..

can you update the time font color to the body color which is #3E3E3E

Currently you have:

}

Kind of hard to see the time on a white background.

Just place this into your additional.css in the style templates:
