I'm glad to see a local forum for reefkeepers in San Diego. I really hope that this website really takes off. I'm looking forward to trading locally for sps or even equipment. Kinda got tired of paying those 35-45 dollar shipping costs for a coral at the same price...grr. Just want to say a big HELLOOOO to everyone!! :D -Mel

rza007, A frag swap sounds pretty damn good right about now . :D Hey guys, are we able to place pics of our tanks on this thread? In the mean time, what kinda systems are you running (tank size, lights, filter system, livestock (coral/invert/fish)).

Figure I should introduce myself.

I've got a three month-old 2.5 gallon nano and a three year-old 55 gallon reef, which is in the midst of a big overhaul. Because of a bryopsis infestation that wouldn't die, I recently replaced most of the live rock, added a bigger refugium, and am slowly starting to add more livestock. Don't have anything to trade at the moment, but in a few months, I should be up to my armpits in xenia again. :)

Look forward to trading with everybody in the future.

Very cool, a SD forum.

Getting pretty tired of shipping used equipment to other states. Most of time the shipping cost kills the the deal. More money to put in my pocket sell to local ppl and to put back into my hobby.:D

Plus, I rather help ppl locally, because we all can help each other out when there is need. We all need help sometimes. Can be as small as frag swap to as big as blow out tank(help saving the animals).

i like the fact that everyone here is LOCAL, and we dont have to worry about the friggin shipping on a 20 dollar frag:D :D i will post up pix of my tank tonite:p

This forum is great, reminds me of a local High-Def Forum for san diego.

Anyway, I don't have frags yet, maybe in a few more months. I am interested in people being able to combine mail orders to save on shipping, or people making runs to Jeff's in OC. Cool!

Very cool, it came out about 2 years ago. He just revamped the software, I had to re-sign up but everything is running smooth.
