Which aquanetic is it? Is the controller necessary, or can you use controller off reef keeper?

yes... and THANK YOU for the tank, stand and light.

It's already got (more) water in it, some (more) sand (picked up today) and is being skimmed by my big HOB Coral Life 220 Skimmer (temporarily) ... I'm hot on getting it ready for some damsels (as I'm also after a fuge, and bigger mechanical filtration)... and setup as my new FOWLR (or, as my fiance' would say... her Cap'n Jack Tank, being it'll get a shipwreck here real soon) ;)
