Thoughts on Ecoxotic Panorama strip

Has anyone popped one of these bad boys in their hood?

I am thinking of installing just behind the feeding door, but will need to hotknife the plastic to make room... Any thoughts? Got is for Christmas from my girlfriend, so its here, just need it in.:what:

I retrofitted a 420 nm blue strip to my 20" sunpod but it was so bright my wife made me take it off! I really liked it and I'm trying to figure out a mod to block the sides so I can put it back up...

Any thoughts as in where to mount? I had one module and 2 stunners (actinic/uv) mounted on a thick picture frame. It was hanging from the ceiling and looked like a legit fixture. Throw some pics up of what your working w/, that'll help generate some ideas..

I retrofitted a ecoxotic panaroma(all blue) on my hood on a Red Sea Max & I love em. makes every coral's color pop.

Mine are going on a 60 cube

they work nice in a smaller tank. i put one strip on a 70 tall and it did nothing

Did you try it with the reflector? That should cover the sides and make it brighter.
