lamp wont stay on

my 48inch 4 bulb tek fixture wont stay on. the lights will stay on for like 10 seconds and turn off. ***... help please they worked last night

Check the connections at the endcaps, both wires and bulbs.

Could be ballast going bad, but do what was mentioned.

yes i have all the equipment on gfi switches.. i took off the splash guard and set it outside for a half hour, and then took it inside and its up and running... hah is this bad?

Could be. There could be a short inside that you wiggled around when you moved it. It went back to the right place for now. Just make sure the GFI is working properly. One house fire can ruin your whole day.
