Yesterday, in a weak moment I bought a small French Angel (1.5 inch). He's in quarantine (eating the algae and the pods and looking happyas a clam). I'm half afraid to put him in my reef. Does anyone have any experience with these guys in a reef (anthelias, zoas, and a bunch of other corals). He's so purty.

If you feel like having a bunch of half eaten corals, put him in. If not take him back:) . There are always exceptions but i wouldn't risk all that I have invested for one single fish. BTW how big is your reef?

The tank is 180 gallons. Thanks for the input. The tank he is in now is a 55 gallon that I connected to the big tank to keep macro algae and anything else I didn't want in the display.

Thats a pretty big reef. I have a 130Fish only. You wanna trade for a small Purple tang?

Thanks, but I have a purple tang that pretty well chewed up a copperband and kept a foxface hidden in the rocks until it starved.
She's ok as long as other fish are bigger than she is.
