fighting clowns

i have 2 clarkii's and the female is really beating the crap out of the male. so bad one day that she was chasing him out of the water, his tail fin is thrased had to put him in my prop/qt tank. any ideas?

Damn man they always fought a little, but not that bad. Maybe try putting them together later. Or put the male in there first and let him get settled in, and then add the female. That sucks though, sorry. If it doesnt work out and you want to seperate them for good, I'll take the other one back. Good luck

Hen pecking is common in all clown pairs but all out war is not good. When two clowns get to fighting that bad you have to remove one or the less agressive will get shredded. try exchanging the smaller of your two clowns for an even smaller one.

man im afraid if i get a smaller one he will get his ass beat. im thinking maybe the tank might be to small for them.
